New Goals and New Me

I am really having a time trying to get my eating down.  I have basically exercised 53lbs off but if I could add that with a good eating plan, I know my weightloss would double.  Anyways I have set myself new goals, some old ones, and some rewards.  So here goes:
Beginning Weight:  300lbs
Goal Weight:         150lbs
Weight to lose:      150lbs
Current weight:     247lbs
Lbs to lose:           97lbs

1st tiny weight goal:  To be at 240lbs (60lbs total lost) by my birthday April 27th (7lbs - approx 1 1/2 mths) 
REWARD:   A new outfit and mani/pedi

2nd tiny weight goal: To hit 225lbs (75lbs total lost)
REWARD:  ??? any ideas ???

End of year weight goal:  My goal is be down to 200lbs (100lbs lost) by the end of this year
REWARD:  Plan a huge family vacation!

Other non-weightloss related goals:  To spend more time with Jesus on a daily basis.  To get outside and spend more time with my family.  To run a 8K in June and a 1/2 marathon in October.  To be a better wife, mother, and friend!

I Completed My First 5K!!

Ok.... So it all started last year while I was watching the final 4 contestants of Biggest Loser run their marathon.  It was mentioned that only a small percentage of American's have ever ran a marathon.  The light came on in my head and I was like, I would love to be in that small percentage!!!!!  Then as if my Trinity people heard me they decided to start up a running club and you know my name was on that list.  Sooooo running club began the first of the year and my very first club meeting was horrible :( .  They decided to time our mile... when everyone else was running 6-17 min miles, I was bringing up the rear with a whooping 20+ min mile.  I was sooooo sad and disappointed, to the point I almost threw the towel in.  So I decided to suck it up and continue jogging toward my dream.  Well, to make a long story short, I ran my very first 5K @ The Reedy River Run.  I felt so good that day and ran it in 49:16.  My average pace was 16.5/mile.  I shaved off over 10 minutes from my original time.  I am going to continue practicing with the running club and run more races... One day I WILL run/jog/walk an entire marathon.  Here are some picture of me and Team Trinity at Reedy River Run.  ENJOY!
